What’s a transformative agreement? It allows researchers access to a portfolio of journals, plus funding to cover Article Publication Charges (APCs) when choosing to publish open access.
Why do we need transformative agreements? There’s more pressure on the traditional subscription model, as policy and funder mandates favor routes towards open access publication. A transformativeagreement moves funding from reading towards publishing – whilst recognizing that the subscription element remains an important part of the agreement.
